Judy is 77 years old. She’s 100 pounds sopping wet. She knits like it’s her job—she’s actually a travel agent, of sorts—and in her spare time, she’s riding camels and getting chased by hippos.
She taught me the term “adventure knitting,” which I find delightful. I imagine her and her knitting crew out there herding elephants with their knitting needles, and the truth, it turns out, isn’t too far from that.
