As I was walking up to the T.A. Moulton Barn in Grand Teton National Park—the most photographed barn in the world—I stopped at the readerboard, pausing next to a woman who was not happy to be there. “Ugh, it’s just an old barn; I don’t need to see that.”
Reader, she was not 100 feet away from this barn, and she did not want to see it. I start with this anecdote because a) a good way to avoid crowds is to travel with people who refuse to go anywhere, and b) she did not walk to the second barn, which means I had it to myself.
